I was born in Spain to an English mother and an American father, and was raised in Spain and England. My parents divorced when I was four, and I was sent to boarding school in a new country at the age of eight. My own attachment trauma and adverse experiences with a narcissistic parent have a lot to do with my decision to become a therapist.

After completing my undergraduate degree in London, I moved to Amsterdam, and lived there for two years before moving to New York. I have experienced and am sensitive to the ways in which different cultures inform us implicitly and explicitly, and am always cognizant of the context of culture within therapy.

After living in New York for twenty-five years, I moved to the Los Angeles area in 2018, with my second husband, dog, cat and baby. I have two grown children from my first marriage, and I consider motherhood one of the most blessed experiences of my life, albeit one that can be hard work and challenging. I am also an animal lover and have three rescue dogs.

I worked in fashion and dabbled in acting before deciding to return to Graduate School for my Masters degree. I am invested in helping others grow and in contributing in my own small way, to the Greater Good. I view life as Earth School, and believe we are here to learn, grow, and to become the most evolved and mindful versions of ourselves that we can be.
